Poland Info For Tourists

A student at Iowa State who took a three-week trip to Poland as part of an international studies course has some advice for other travelers to the country. She said that learning so much Poland info during the class was the best possible preparation for the trip. And if she takes a big trip again, she said she would definitely spend lots of time researching it before she went.

During the trip her group toured a concentration camp, strolled through centuries-old castles, and witnessed unique architecture on a grand scale. She said that learning about Polish history and culture before the trip made all of the experiences a lot more meaningful to her. The Auschwitz concentration camp was an especially meaningful experience for her. She described it as dreary and amazing at the same time.
