This statue which is one of the most popular sites for religious and spiritual reasons, has built the tourism industry for many decades. Last Sunday was the official day in which Poland unveiled the world's largest statue of Jesus, which has pushed the 'Christ the Redeemer' statue in Rio to second place.
The statue stands at 167 feet tall. It is expected that more than 15,000 Christian pilgrims and tourists will be visiting Poland more often and all year round to see the statue in real life. You can view images of the statue here in a recent article published online.
